IMPACT-BASED

1. Cold, wet and windy conditions are expected over the southern high-lying areas of the Namakwa region in the Northern Cape as well as the central interior and central Karoo of the Western Cape Province until Saturday evening, while persisting over the Eastern Cape province into Monday the 3rd of June, due to a cut-off low system and a ridging high pressure system.

2. Very cold conditions are expected on Monday the 3rd of June with possible light snowfalls in places over the northern high ground in the Eastern Cape.

– Morning fog in places in the west, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers in the south- east. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate south-westerly.

WESTERN CAPE

– Cloudy and cool to cold with isolated to scattered showers along the south coast and adjacent interior in the morning. It will be partly cloudy and cool in west and south-west. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate south-easterly. The expected UVB sunburn Index Low

WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

– Partly cloudy in the north, otherwise cloudy and cold with isolated showers and rain, but scattered to widespread in the south. The wind along the coast will be moderate south-westerly, becoming fresh to strong south-easterly in the afternoon.

EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

Partly cloudy and cold to cool, but cloudy in places south of the escarpment with isolated showers and rain, but scattered in south- west in the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly, becoming fresh to strong south-easterly in the afternoon.

KWAZULU-NATAL

– Partly cloudy and cool but warm in the north-east. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly. The expected UVB sunburn Index Very High
