Yellow level 2 warning for Severe thunderstorms with possible large amounts of small hail and heavy downpours that may lead to localised flooding of susceptible roads, low-lying areas and bridges and minor vehicle accidents as well as localised damage to informal houses expected over Gauteng, the Highveld and escarpment of Mpumalanga, south-western parts of Limpopo, as well as eastern parts of the North-West and north-eastern parts of the Free State. B. Yellow level 2 warning for disruptive rain leading of localized flooding of susceptible roads, low-lying areas and bridges over the eastern parts of Limpopo and the Lowveld of Mpumalanga as well as north-eastern parts of KwaZulu-Natal. GAUTENG PROVINCE

– Cloudy and cool with widespread showers and thundershowers. The expected UVB sunburn Index Very High

MPUMALANGA PROVINCE

– Morning fog along the escarpment and in the south-west, otherwise cloudy and cool to warm with widespread showers and thundershowers.

LIMPOPO PROVINCE

Morning fog along the escarpment, otherwise cloudy and warm but cool in places over the central parts with widespread showers and thundershowers.

NORTH-WEST PROVINCE

Cloudy and cool to warm with widespread showers and thundershowers in the extreme east, otherwise scattered to isolated.

FREE STATE

Cloudy and cool to warm with widespread showers and thundershowers in the east, otherwise scattered to isolated.

NORTHERN CAPE

Fine and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers in the extreme east where it will be partly cloudy. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south- easterly.

WESTERN CAPE

– Partly cloudy over the extreme north-eastern parts in the morning, otherwise fine and warm, but hot along the west coast and adjacent interior, while cool along the south coast. It will become partly cloudy in the south with isolated evening showers and rain in the south-west. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south- easterly, but strong in places along the west and south-west coast. It will become westerly to north-westerly along the south coast in the evening. The expected UVB sunburn Index Extreme

WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

– Cloudy in places in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated thundershowers in the north-east. The wind along the coast will be light south-easterly, becoming south- westerly overnight.

EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

– Morning fog over the high-lying areas, otherwise cloudy and cool with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the north. The wind along the coast will be light north-easterly.

KWAZULU-NATAL

Morning fog over the interior, otherwise cloudy and cool but cold in places in the west. Widespread showers and thundershowers are expected but scattered in the south. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south- easterly, becoming north-easterly from the south by the afternoon The expected UVB sunburn Index Low
