Yellow level 4 warning for severe thunderstorms with large amount of small hail and heavy downpours that will lead to localized flooding of susceptible roads, low-lying areas, closure of roads and some bridges, displacement of affected communities, and danger to lives due to fast flowing streams expected over the central parts of the North West and the central and eastern parts of the Free State, as well as over the Drakensberg parts of KwaZulu-Natal. B. GAUTENG PROVINCE

Partly cloudy and cool, with widespread showers and thundershowers. The expected UVB sunburn Index Extreme

MPUMALANGA PROVINCE

Cloudy and cool to warm with widespread showers and thundershowers but scattered in the extreme north-east.

LIMPOPO PROVINCE

– Cloudy and warm but cool in places over the central parts with widespread showers and thundershowers but scattered in the Lowveld.

NORTH-WEST PROVINCE

Partly cloudy and cool to warm, with widespread showers and thundershowers in the east, otherwise scattered.

FREE STATE

Partly cloudy and cool to warm, with widespread showers and thundershowers in the east, otherwise scattered.

NORTHERN CAPE

– Cool in the south, otherwise fine and warm to hot, becoming partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers in the east. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south- easterly.

WESTERN CAPE

Fine in the west, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot, but cloudy over the north-eastern interior in the morning. It will be cool along the south coast. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-easterly to easterly along the south coast, otherwise fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly. The expected UVB sunburn Index Extreme

WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

– Cloudy and cool with isolated showers and rain east of Graaff Reinet and places along the coast in the morning. It will become partly cloudy in the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be Light to moderate southerly in the morning, becoming south easterly in the afternoon.

EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

– Cool in places in the north, otherwise cloudy and cold with scattered showers and thundershowers. The wind along the coast will be moderate south-westerly at first, otherwise south-easterly.

KWAZULU-NATAL

– Cloudy and cool, but cold in the south-west with widespread showers and thundershowers but scattered in the north-east. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south- westerly. The expected UVB sunburn Index Moderate
