WARNINGS

– A. Yellow level 2 warning for RAIN resulting in localized flooding, is expected in the Overberg and the coastal areas of the Garden Route Districts in the Western Cape. FIRE DANGER

– Nil. ADVISORIES A. Series of cold fronts are expected to bring in very cold conditions, with daytime temperatures below 10.C over the high-lying areas of the Western Cape and Namakwa District in the Northern Cape from Tuesday (20/07/2021) through to Thursday (22/07/202 1).The public and small stock farmers are advised to take necessary precautions.

PROVINCIAL WEATHER OVERVIEW

GAUTENG PROVINCE

– Morning frost, otherwise fine and cool. The expected UVB sunburn Index High

MPUMALANGA PROVINCE

Morning frost is expected over the Highveld, otherwise fine and cold to cool, but warm in the Lowveld.

LIMPOPO PROVINCE

– Morning frost over the South-Western Bushveld, otherwise fine and cool but warm in the Lowveld.

NORTH-WEST PROVINCE

– Fine and cool.

FREE STATE

– Fine and cold to cool.

NORTHERN CAPE

– Morning frost over the southern high-ground, otherwise fine and cool to cold. it will be partly cloudy from the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly.

WESTERN CAPE

Cloudy and cold with scattered showers and rain, but widespread along The Garden Route. Possible snowfalls is expected over the western and eastern high-grounds. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh reaching strong southerly becoming south-westerly south of Table Bay by the evening spreading along the south coastal regions. The expected UVB sunburn Index Low

WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

– Cloudy and cool with scattered showers and rain, but isolated in the north where it will be partly cloudy. The wind along the coast will be fresh south-westerly, but strong in the evening.

EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

– Fine and cool, becoming partly cloudy in places. The wind along the coast will be light north-westerly, becoming fresh south-westerly.

KWAZULU-NATAL

Fine and cool but warm in the north-east. The wind along the coast will be moderate northerly to north-easterly. The expected UVB sunburn Index High
