MPUMALANGA PROVINCE

Cloudy with morning fog along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm but hot in the Lowveld, with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers.

LIMPOPO PROVINCE

Cloudy with morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers.

EASTERN PARTS OF THE NORTHERN CAPE

Partly cloudy and hot with isolated showers and thundershowers in the northeast. The wind along the coast will be light and variable, becoming moderate south-westerly in the afternoon, becoming south-easterly by the evening.

WESTERN CAPE

Cloudy over the extreme eastern parts and along the west with fog and drizzle along the south-western parts in the morning, otherwise fine and cool to warm but hot over the north-east. It will become cloudy along the south coast from the late afternoon. WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

Partly cloudy and warm to hot, with late evening rain along the coast and southern interior. The wind along the coast will be Moderate to fresh southwesterly.

EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

Cloudy and cool south of the escarpment with light rain and showers near the coast. It will be hot over the interior with afternoon showers and thundershowers, spreading towards the coast. The wind along the coast will be Light to moderate easterly to south easterly.

KWAZULU-NATAL

WARNINGS

Yellow (Level 2) warning for disruptive rain which might lead to localized flooding of susceptible informal settlements, roads and low lying bridges and may also result in difficult driving conditions due to slippery roads and poor visibility can be expected over most parts of KwaZulu-Natal, the central and eastern parts of both North West and the Free State spreading to parts of the Lowveld of Limpopo in the evening.

Yellow (Level 2) warning for wind (south-easterly) with possible localized damage to properties, problems for high sided vehicles as well as temporary closure of major routes (N2-Sir Lowry’s Pass and N1- Huguenot Tunnel) until Saturday evening over Cape Metropole, south western parts of Cape Winelands and western parts of the Overberg Districts of the Western Cape.

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the Cape Metropole, West Coast District and Stellenbosch Municipality of the Western Cape as well as Khai-Mai and Kamiesberg Municipalities of the Northern Cape.
