Severe thunderstorms are expected over the extreme western parts of KwaZulu-Natal, the Free State, the western half of the North West and the central and eastern parts of the Eastern Cape.

SPECIAL WEATHER ADVISORIES

Gale force south-easterly winds (65-75km/h) are expected offshore between Cape Columbine and Cape Agulhas on Sunday and Monday (15-16/03/2020).

GAUTENG PROVINCE

Cloudy and cool but warm in the north with scattered showers and thundershowers in the morning and late afternoon.

MPUMALANGA PROVINCE

Cloudy in the east with morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers but isolated thundershowers in the east.

LIMPOPO PROVINCE

– Cloudy in the east with morning fog patches on the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm but hot in the south-west.

Isolated thundershowers are expected in the south.

NORTH-WEST PROVINCE

Partly cloudy and hot with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered over the central and southern parts.

FREE STATE

– Partly cloudy and warm but cool in the east with scattered showers and thundershowers.

NORTHERN CAPE

– Fine in the west, otherwise partly cloudy and warm but hot in the north-east with isolated showers and thundershowers in the east.

The wind along the coast will be light to moderate westerly to north-westerly.

WESTERN CAPE

Cloudy and cool with morning fog along the coast otherwise partly cloudy and warm with afternoon thunderstorms in the east.

The wind along the coast will be light to moderate westerly to north-westerly but fresh to strong south of Table Bay.
