SEVERE WEATHER ALERTS

WARNINGS

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the Central and Little Karoo of the Western Cape.

Gale force westerly to north-westerly winds (65-75km/h) are expected along the coast between Cape Columbine and Cape Agulhas on Monday early morning spreading eastwards to Plettenberg Bay by late morning and Port Alfred by Monday afternoon.

Heavy rain leading to localized flooding is expected in places in the Cape Metropole of the Western Cape on Monday.

High seas with wave heights in excess of 6.

0m are expected between Cape Columbine and Plettenberg Bay on Monday spreading to East London on Monday afternoon.

SPECIAL WEATHER ADVISORIES

Snowfall is expected on the mountains of the Western Cape and south-western high ground of the Northern Cape from Monday afternoon, spreading to the Eastern Cape mountains on Monday night into Tuesday morning and the south-western high ground of KwaZulu-Natal on Tuesday afternoon.

Strong north-westerly to westerly winds (50-62km/h) are expected over the interior of the Western Cape and southern interior of the Northern Cape on Monday.

Windy conditions are expected in places from the afternoon.

The wind along the coast will be fresh southerly along the west coast but moderate to fresh in the south ad south-west becoming strong in the south-west from late afternoon.

WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

Cloudy with mist at first in places in the south-east, otherwise fine and warm.

The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north-westerly.

EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

Cloudy with mist at first in places over the south-western interior, otherwise fine and cool to warm.

The wind along the coast will be light and variable, becoming moderate northerly from the afternoon.

KWAZULU-NATAL

Morning mist over the north-eastern interior, otherwise fine and warm but cool in the west.

The wind along the coast will be moderate northerly to north-easterly.
