WARNINGS
1. Yellow warning for severe thunderstorms with possible flooding of susceptible low lying areas, disruption to traffic due to reduced visibility and strong damaging winds that may cause some damage to informal settlements is expected, especially between 17h00 and 21h00 over Gauteng, the north eastern parts of the North West, the western Highveld of Mpumalanga, Western Bushveld of the Limpopo and the extreme north eastern parts of Free State.
2. Yellow warning for rain with possible impacts including localised flooding of susceptible settlement and roads is expected over the Overberg and Garden Route Districts (Western Cape) Wednesday night. FIRE DANGER
WARNINGS
1. Extreme high fire danger is expected over the Northern Cape, western parts of the Free State and North West Province. ADVISORIES An intense cold front associated with an upper cut-off low pressure system is expected to affect the Western and Northern Cape Provinces from Wednesday evening (30/09/2020) into Friday morning (02/10/2020). The public and small stock farmers are advised that strong winds, light snowfalls and very cold conditions can be expected.

Morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered over the Western Bushveld.
NORTH-WEST PROVINCE
Fine and warm becoming partly cloudy with afternoon thundershowers, except in the west.
FREE STATE
Fine and cool becoming partly cloudy with afternoon thundershowers in the northern and eastern parts.
NORTHERN CAPE
Fine and cool to warm but cold in the south with morning frost. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly.
WESTERN CAPE
Fine in the west and the north east in the morning, otherwise cloudy to partly cloudy and cool but cold in the south- west where it will be raining from the afternoon, spreading to the south-east by the evening. Heavy rain leading to localised flooding is possible over the Overberg and Garden Route Districts from tomorrow evening. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate westerly to south-westerly in the south, reaching fresh to strong from the afternoon until early evening, otherwise fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly. WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Partly cloudy over the interior at first, otherwise fine and cool, but warm in places of the interior. It will become partly cloudy with isolated showers and rain in the south from the evening. The wind along the coast will be Moderate north easterly, becoming moderate to fresh south westerly from the afternoon.
EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Partly cloudy over the interior at first, otherwise fine and cool. It will become partly cloudy with isolated showers and rain in the south east from the evening. The wind along the coast will be Light north easterly, becoming moderate to fresh from midday, but strong in the afternoon.
KWAZULU-NATAL
Cloudy at first with morning fog, otherwise partly cloudy and cool. Isolated morning rain and afternoon showers and thundershowers are expected.
