A. Yellow Level 2 Warning Severe Thunderstorms with heavy downpours, strong damaging winds and hail leading to localised damage to informal and formal settlements is expected over the south-eastern parts of the Northern Cape and the. FIRE DANGER

WARNINGS

1. Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the Kamiesberg local municipality in the Northern Cape, Cederberg and Oudtshoorn local municipalities in the Western Cape, Sarah Baartman districts municipality (excluding the coastal areas), as well as Amathole and Engcobo local municipalities in the Eastern Cape. ADVISORIES –

1. Extremely hot and uncomfortable conditions are expected in places over the interior of the Cape Winelands, the Central and Little Karoo in the Western Cape.

GAUTENG PROVINCE

– Partly cloudy and warm with isolated afternoon thunderstorms in the extreme south- west. The expected UVB sunburn Index High

MPUMALANGA PROVINCE

– Cloudy at first, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm.

LIMPOPO PROVINCE

– Cloudy in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm.

NORTH-WEST PROVINCE

– Partly cloudy and hot with isolated showers and thundershowers, except in the extreme north-east.

FREE STATE

– Partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers, except in the extreme east.

NORTHERN CAPE

Cool along the coast where it will be cloudy with fog patches in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy at warm to hot with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers in the easter. It will be very hot in places in the east, but extremely hot in the extreme north-western interior. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate southerly to south- easterly.

WESTERN CAPE

Warm along the coast where it will be cloudy with morning fog patches, otherwise partly cloudy and hot to very hot but extremely hot over the north-eastern interior where isolated evening thundershowers are expected. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh northerly to north- westerly along the west and south-west coast where it will become light to moderate southerly to south-westerly in the evening, otherwise moderate to fresh westerly to south-westerly. WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

– Fine and warm to hot, becoming partly cloudy over the interior with isolated afternoon thunderstorms. The wind along the coast will be moderate south-westerly.

EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

– Fine and warm to hot, becoming partly cloudy over the interior with isolated afternoon thunderstorms. The wind along the coast will be moderate north-easterly.

KWAZULU-NATAL
