IMPACT-BASED

– Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the Kamiesberg municipality in the Northern Cape, in places over the West Coast district and the Cape Winelands in the Western Cape ADVISORIES

1. A heatwave with persistently high temperatures is expected in places over Sarah Baartman and the Chris Hani Districts, as well as over the Raymond Mhlaba and Amahlathi Local Municipalities in the Eastern Cape until Sunday.

2. Extremely Hot, uncomfortable and humid conditions are expected in places over the Western Cape until Friday.

MPUMALANGA PROVINCE

LIMPOPO PROVINCE

Morning fog patches over the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with drizzle over the escarpment.

NORTH-WEST PROVINCE

Fine and warm to hot, becoming partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers.

FREE STATE

Fine over the central part at first, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the west.

NORTHERN CAPE

– Morning fog along the coast, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot, becoming cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers, over the interior but scattered in the east. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south- easterly

WESTERN CAPE

– Morning fog along the west and south coasts, otherwise partly cloudy and hot to very hot but extremely hot in places over the central interior. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected in the north from late afternoon. The wind along the coast will be moderate easterly to south- easterly becoming fresh to strong southerly in the afternoon. The expected UVB sunburn Index Extreme

WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

– Cloudy with fog patches in places in the south-east in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and hot to very hot with isolated showers and thundershowers over the interior, but warm along the coast. The wind along the coast will be light north- easterly, becoming moderate to fresh easterly in the afternoon, reaching strong in places.

EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

Morning fog patches in places south of the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated thunderstorms, but scattered in the north. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north- easterly, becoming fresh to strong in the afternoon.

KWAZULU-NATAL

Morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers in the extreme west and in the north-east. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh easterly to north-easterly. The expected UVB sunburn Index Very High
