A. Yellow Level 2 Warning for Severe Thunderstorms with possible strong damaging winds resulting in localised damage to property and localised short-term disruption to municipal and other essential services expected over the southern parts of Free State. B. Yellow Level 2 Warning for Disruptive Rain leading to localised mudslides and rockfalls and localised cases of breakage of farm dam walls are expected over the Overberg District from the evening into Saturday (07/10/2023). 1. Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the eastern parts of the Northern Cape, the Free State, the North-West, south-western parts of Limpopo, parts of Gauteng, as well as the western parts of Kwazulu-Natal. ADVISORIES
1. Heatwave conditions resulting in persistently high temperatures are expected over the North-West, most parts of the Free State except in the south, Gauteng, western and southern parts of Limpopo, as well as the western parts of Mpumalanga, until Sunday(08/10/23). Under these conditions, prolonged exposure to the sun (especially around midday) poses health risks, hence it is advisable to seek shade and keep hydrated.

NORTHERN CAPE
Morning fog along the coast where it will be cloudy at first, otherwise partly cloudy and warm but hot to very hot over the interior, with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the south-east. The wind along the coast will be light south-westerly.
WESTERN CAPE
Morning fog along the west coast where it will become partly cloudy, otherwise cloudy and cool with scattered to widespread showers and along the south coast and adjacent interior. Isolated thundershowers are expected over the eastern interior where it will be warm. The wind along the coast will be light southerly along the west coast, otherwise moderate to fresh south-easterly, but strong in the south- west. The expected UVB sunburn Index Very High
WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Cloudy and cool to warm with scattered showers and thundershowers, but widespread rain and showers along the coast. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate south-easterly, becoming moderate to fresh easterly in the late afternoon.
EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Cloudy and cool to warm with scattered showers and thundershowers, but widespread showers and rain in the extreme south-west. The wind along the coast will be Moderate to fresh easterly.
KWAZULU-NATAL
Partly cloudy and warm with scattered afternoon showers and thundershowers over western parts, otherwise isolated except in the north-east.
