1. YELLOW (LEVEL 2) WARNING Disruptive rainfall leading to localized flooding of formal and informal settlements and infrastructural damage as well as disruptions to main roads is expected in the in the Lowveld of both Mpumalanga and Limpopo Provinces, as well as over the north-eastern parts of Kwa-Zulu Natal, spreading towards the south coast.

2. Orange (L5) Warning Disruptive Rainfall leading to flooding of roads and formal and informal settlements, danger to life, damage to property and infrastructure loss of livelihood and livestock, major disruption of traffic flow due to major roads been flooded, mudslides and rock-falls is expected in the extreme north-eastern parts of KZN. FIRE DANGER

Partly cloudy and cool to warm with scattered showers and thundershowers but widespread in the extreme east where it will be cloudy.

LIMPOPO PROVINCE

Partly cloudy and warm with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers but widespread in the east where it will be cloudy.

NORTH-WEST PROVINCE

Partly cloudy and warm to hot, with isolated thundershowers in the central and eastern parts.

FREE STATE

– Fine in the west at first, otherwise partly cloudy and warm, with isolated showers and thundershowers in the central parts, but scattered in the extreme east.

NORTHERN CAPE

– Partly cloudy and warm but cloudy in the west where it will be cool and becoming fine in the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be light north-westerly, becoming moderate to fresh southerly to south-westerly.

WESTERN CAPE

Partly cloudy and warm, with a chance of rain in the south and south-west where it will be cool but late afternoon isolated thundershowers in the north-east. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh westerly to north-westerly along the west coast until in the afternoon, otherwise fresh to strong southerly to south-westerly. WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

Cloudy and cool with isolated rain and showers south of the escarpment. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south-westerly, moderating in the afternoon.

Cloudy and cool with isolated rain and showers south of the escarpment. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south-westerly, moderating in the afternoon.

KWAZULU-NATAL

– Morning fog over the interior, otherwise cloudy and warm but cool in the south. Widespread showers and thundershowers are expected but scattered in the south and west. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south-westerly south of Durban and spreading northwards by late afternoon. The expected UVB sunburn Index Moderate
