A. A Yellow Level 1 warning Damaging waves resulting in difficulty in navigation at sea for small vessels and personal watercraft are expected between Cape Columbine and Cape Agulhas from the afternoon. FIRE DANGER

WARNINGS

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the City of Cape Town and Saldanha Bay municipalities of the Western Cape and the Khai-Ma municipality of the Northern Cape. ADVISORIES Nil.

PROVINCIAL WEATHER OVERVIEW

GAUTENG PROVINCE

Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers from the afternoon. It will be hot in the extreme north. The expected UVB sunburn Index High

MPUMALANGA PROVINCE

Morning fog patches in places on the Highveld, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers from the afternoon, except in the easter Lowveld where it will be hot.

LIMPOPO PROVINCE

Partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated late afternoon showers and thundershowers, except in the Lowveld and Limpopo Valley.

NORTH-WEST PROVINCE

Fine and hot, becoming partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers from the afternoon.

FREE STATE

Fine and warm to hot, becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the south and along the Lesotho border.

NORTHERN CAPE

Cloudy along the coast at first, otherwise fine and warm to hot, but partly cloudy over the central and eastern parts with isolated thundershowers. It will be very hot in places in the north. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly.

WESTERN CAPE

Fine in the extreme west, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm but cloudy along the south coast and adjacent interior with isolated to scattered showers and rain and isolated thundershowers in the extreme north-east. It will be hot in places over the West Coast District. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south- easterly becoming near gale to gale force along the south-western coast from the afternoon. The expected UVB sunburn Index High

WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

Partly cloudy in the north at first, otherwise cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered showers and rain in the south. The wind along the coast will be moderate south-westerly, becoming moderate to fresh south-easterly during the morning.

EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

Cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly, becoming southerly in the afternoon, but south-easterly in the south.

KWAZULU-NATAL

Morning fog patches in places over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the west. The wind along the coast will be moderate easterly to north-easterly, becoming moderate southerly to south-easterly by late morning.
