IMPACT-BASED
WARNINGS
A. Orange Level 5 Warning for Damaging Winds and Waves resulting in difficulty in navigation, damage to coastal infrastructure, beach erosion and possible rogue waves are expected along the Plettenberg Bay and Port Edward. B. Yellow Level 4 warning for Storm Surge in places along the coast between Plettenberg Bay and Fish River resulting in coastal flooding due to an increased sea level of 0.6m above the highest astronomical high tide. C. Yellow Level 2 warning for Coastal Winds resulting in difficulty in navigation at sea is expected between Cape Agulhas and Plettenberg Bay. D. Yellow Level 4 warning for Damaging Waves resulting in localised disruption of small harbours and/or ports for a short period of time are expected between Alexander Bay and Plettenberg Bay until Sunday. FIRE DANGER
WARNINGS
Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the north-western parts of KwaZulu Natal, southern and extreme western parts of Mpumalanga, southern Limpopo and in places in the North West province, as well as the extreme eastern parts of the Free State which may result in reduced visibility, damage to property, damage to vegetation, air and water pollution, and loss of human and/or animal life. ADVISORIES Very cold, wet and windy conditions are expected in places over the southern Namakwa district in the Northern Cape and the interior of Western Cape.

NORTHERN CAPE
Fine in the north-east, otherwise partly cloudy, windy and cool, but cold in some parts over the south with isolated showers and rain in the extreme west. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly but strong north of Port Nolloth.
WESTERN CAPE
Cloudy and cold to cool with isolated to scattered showers and a possibility of snow in the mountains of Cape Winelands. It will be windy over the interior. The north-east will be clear of rain. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-westerly north of Yzerfontein, otherwise strong to gale force south-westerly to westerly. The expected UVB sunburn Index Moderate
WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
– Cloudy in places in the south with isolated showers and rain, otherwise partly cloudy and cold, but fine in places in the north. The wind along the coast will be gale force south-westerly, becoming strong in the afternoon.
EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Cloudy in places south of escapement at first, otherwise partly cloudy and cool, but fine in the north. The wind along the coast will be strong south-westerly, becoming gale force in the afternoon.
KWAZULU-NATAL
– Morning fog patches in places over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm. It will become cloudy in the afternoon with isolated showers and rain except in the west.
