WARNINGS

A. Yellow level 2 warning Severe thunderstorms with possible heavy downpours leading to localised flooding, hail and strong damaging winds will result to damage and flooding of informal settlement and susceptible areas over the western parts of Free State, the eastern Northern Cape as well as the extreme south-western parts of North West province. B. Yellow level 1 warning for damaging winds leading to difficulty in navigation at sea are expected between Table Bay and Plettenberg Bay . FIRE DANGER

WARNINGS

– Extremely high fire danger conditions expected over the central interior of the Northern Cape and Matzikama municipality in the Western Cape. ADVISORIES Nil.

GAUTENG PROVINCE

MPUMALANGA PROVINCE

Morning fog patches and drizzle along the escarpment, otherwise cloudy and cool to cold with isolated showers and thundershowers, except in the Lowveld where it will be warm. It will become partly cloudy in places from the afternoon.

LIMPOPO PROVINCE

Morning fog patches and drizzle along the escarpment, otherwise cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers in the south-west. It will become partly cloudy in places from the afternoon.

NORTH-WEST PROVINCE

– Partly cloudy and warm, with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the extreme south-west.

FREE STATE

Cloudy with morning fog patches in the east, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm, with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the west.

NORTHERN CAPE

Cloudy with morning fog along the extreme northern coast, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm but hot in the north. Isolated showers and thundershowers over the central parts but scattered in the east. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate southerly to south- easterly, becoming fresh from the afternoon.

WESTERN CAPE

Partly cloudy and warm to hot in the west, otherwise cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers along the south-east coast and the adjacent interior. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong along the south, otherwise moderate to fresh east to south-easterly, but strong to Gale force along the south-west coast. it will be become moderate northerly in the west from the evening. WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

Partly cloudy and cool with isolated showers and thundershowers in the north from evening, otherwise fine and warm in places. The wind along the coast will be Moderate to fresh north-easterly, reaching strong in places from the afternoon.

EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

Cloudy with light rain and fog south of the escarpment in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and cold to cool with isolated showers and thundershowers in the north-west from late afternoon. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate south-easterly, becoming moderate to fresh north-easterly in the afternoon.

KWAZULU-NATAL

– Morning fog over the south-western interior, otherwise cloudy and cool with isolated showers and rain but scattered along the coast and adjacent interior. It will be warm along the north coast. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate south-easterly in the south, becoming north-easterly, otherwise moderate to fresh southerly but strong in places north of Cape St. Lucia.
