Orange level 5 WARNING for DISRUPTIVE RAIN leading to flooding of low-lying areas, roads which may cause dangerous driving conditions, damage to formal/informal infrastructure, disruption of services, agricultural losses, and possible loss of life over the North West and south-western parts of Limpopo as well as Free State, except the extreme eastern parts. B. Yellow level 2 WARNING for DISRUPTIVE RAIN leading to localized flooding of low lying roads and susceptible informal settlements as well as poor driving conditions can be expected over the western and southern parts of Limpopo, western parts of Mpumalanga, the extreme eastern of Free State, the eastern parts of the Eastern Cape and the extreme north-eastern parts of Northern Cape as well as western and southern parts of KwaZulu-Natal. PROVINCIAL WEATHER OVERVIEW

GAUTENG PROVINCE

– Cloudy and cold with widespread showers. The expected UVB sunburn Index Low

MPUMALANGA PROVINCE

– Morning drizzle and fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise cloudy and cold with isolated showers to scattered showers and thundershowers but widespread in the western parts of the Highveld.

LIMPOPO PROVINCE

– Cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers but scattered to widespread in the Western Bushveld.

NORTH-WEST PROVINCE

Cloudy and cold to cool with widespread showers and thundershowers.

FREE STATE

– Very cold in the extreme east, otherwise cloudy and cold to cool, with widespread showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the extreme west.

NORTHERN CAPE

Partly cloudy and cool with isolated showers and thundershowers in the east but cloudy and cold in the extreme north-east with scattered showers and thundershowers. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly to easterly north of Hondeklip Bay in the morning, otherwise fresh to strong southerly-easterly.

WESTERN CAPE

Cloudy to partly cloudy over the interior and eastern parts, otherwise fine and cool to warm but hot in places along the West Coast District, with morning fog in the south. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong easterly to south-easterly. The expected UVB sunburn Index High

WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

– Cloudy and cool with isolated to scattered showers and rain, except in the extreme west. It will be cold in places over the northern interior. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong easterly to north-easterly.

EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

Cloudy and cold with widespread of showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the west. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong north-easterly.

KWAZULU-NATAL

Cloudy and cold, but cool in the east. Scattered showers and thundershowers are expected, but widespread in the west and southern parts. The wind along the coast will be moderate south-easterly in the extreme north, otherwise easterly to north-easterly, becoming fresh at times. The expected UVB sunburn Index Moderate
