A. Yellow Level 4 warning Disruptive rain leading to flooding of roads, low-lying bridges and formal/informal settlements is expected along the south coast and adjacent interior of the Western Cape. B. Yellow Level 2 warning Disruptive rain leading to localised flooding of roads, low-lying bridges and formal/informal settlements is expected over the central interior of KwaZulu-Natal. C. Yellow Level 2 warning Severe thunderstorms with heavy downpours and strong winds resulting in localised flooding and isolated structural damage is expected in places over the central parts of the North-west Province and the north-western Free State Province. D. Yellow Level 1 warning Severe thunderstorms resulting in localised flooding and damage to property is expected over the central interior and the eastern parts of the Eastern Cape. FIRE DANGER

PROVINCIAL WEATHER OVERVIEW

GAUTENG PROVINCE

Partly cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers b ut isolated in the north. The expected UVB sunburn Index Extreme

MPUMALANGA PROVINCE

Morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated afternoon thundershowers but hot in the Lowveld.

LIMPOPO PROVINCE

Partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers in the south and western parts.

NORTH-WEST PROVINCE

Cloudy in the west at first, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot, with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the south east.

FREE STATE

– Cloudy to partly cloudy and cool to warm, with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers.

NORTHERN CAPE

Fog patches over the extreme north-west at first, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers in the south and east. The wind along the coast will be light variable becoming moderate north- westerly from the afternoon.

WESTERN CAPE

Cloudy and cool to warm over the central and eastern parts with rain and isolated showers but scattered along the south coast. It will be cloudy along the west coast north of Saldanha Bay in the early morning becoming clear and warm to hot. The wind along the coast will be Light variable north of Cape Columbine in the morning, otherwise moderate to fresh south-easterly, strong along the south-west coast in the afternoon. WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

– Partly cloudy to cloudy and warm, with scattered showers and thundershowers, but widespread along the coast. The wind along the coast will be Light to moderate south-westerly, becoming moderate to fresh south-easterly in the afternoon.

EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

Partly cloudy to cloudy and warm with widespread showers and thundershowers. The wind along the coast will be Light to moderate north-easterly, becoming northerly in the afternoon.

KWAZULU-NATAL

Morning fog over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm. It will become cloudy with scattered showers and thundershowers, but isolated in the extreme north-east.
