1. A Heat Wave with persistently high temperatures in the western interior of the Eastern Cape from Thursday until Saturday is expected.

GAUTENG PROVINCE

– Partly cloudy and warm but hot in the north. The expected UVB sunburn Index Extreme

MPUMALANGA PROVINCE

Cloudy in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and warm but hot in the Lowveld.

LIMPOPO PROVINCE

Cloudy in the morning with isolated showers over the Limpopo Valley, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot.

NORTH-WEST PROVINCE

Fine, becoming partly cloudy and hot.

FREE STATE

– Fine at first, otherwise partly cloudy and hot with isolated showers and thundershowers in the eastern parts from the afternoon. 6. THE NORTHERN CAPE Fine and hot to very hot, becoming partly cloudy in the extreme south-west where it will be extremely hot. The wind along the coast will be strong southerly to south- easterly.

WESTERN CAPE

Partly cloudy in the east and south-east at first, otherwise fine and warm to hot, but very hot in places over the interior. It will become cloudy and cool along the south coast. WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

– Partly cloudy along the escarpment in the morning and warm, otherwise fine and hot to very hot. The wind along the coast will be moderate north-easterly to easterly, becoming fresh east of Cape St Francis in the afternoon.

EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

– Cloudy and cool with morning fog and drizzle south of escarpment, otherwise fine and warm to hot. It will become partly cloudy with isolated showers along the KwaZulu-Natal border in the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly.

KWAZULU-NATAL

Morning fog over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm, but hot in places in the north. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected over the south-western parts.
