1. A heat wave with persistently high temperatures is expected in Richersveld, Nama Khoi and Kamiesberg Municipalities of the Northern Cape as well as the Matzikama Municipality of the Western Cape, persisting until Wednesday.

NORTH-WEST PROVINCE

Fine and warm.

FREE STATE

– Fine and warm. 6. EASTERN PARTS Fine and warm to hot, but very hot in places over the interior. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-easterly.

WESTERN CAPE

Cloudy with fog patches along the south coast in the morning, otherwise fine and warm to hot, but very hot over the northern and western interior. The wind along the coast will be moderate easterly to south-easterly along the south coast, otherwise fresh southerly to south-easterly. The expected UVB sunburn Index Very High

WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

Fine and warm with morning and evening fog patches along the coast. The wind along the coast will be light north easterly, becoming light to moderate south easterly from late morning.

EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

Fine and warm with morning and evening fog along the coast and adjacent interior. The wind along the coast will be light northwesterly, becoming light to moderate north easterly in the afternoon.

KWAZULU-NATAL

– Partly cloudy in the east with morning fog over the interior, otherwise fine and warm but hot in places in the north. The wind along the coast will be gentle to moderate westerly becoming moderate easterly to north-easterly. The expected UVB sunburn Index Very High.
