Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over Khai-Ma in the Northern Cape, Laingsburg and Beaufort West municipalities in the Western Cape. ADVISORIES Heat wave with persistently high temperatures are expected over the Central and Little Karroo in the Western Cape, as well as Sarah Baartman, Chris Hani and Alfred Nzo Districts; Raymond Mhlaba and Amahlathi local municipality in the Eastern Cape over the until Tuesday (05- 06/02/2024).

NORTHERN CAPE

Fine and hot to very hot, becoming partly cloudy in the east and along the coast from the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be moderate westerly to south-westerly but light to moderate southerly to south- easterly from the evening.

WESTERN CAPE

– Cloudy with morning fog patches along the west coast and adjacent interior, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm but hot to very hot over the Central and Little Karoo. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-westerly to westerly reaching strong between Table Bay and Witsand from late morning. The expected UVB sunburn Index Extreme

WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

– Cloudy with morning fog in the south, otherwise fine and hot to very hot but warm along the coast. Isolated showers can be expected in places along the coast and adjacent interior at night. The wind along the coast will be light and variable, becoming light to moderate south-westerly from late afternoon.

EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

Morning fog in places along the coast and adjacent interior, otherwise fine and warm, but hot in the north west. The wind along the coast will be Light and variable, becoming light to moderate north-easterly by afternoon.

KWAZULU-NATAL
