A strong cold front is developing in the South Atlantic. Current weather models show this low-pressure system will reach the country by the weekend.
Heavy rains and also snow in may parts can be expected along with icy cold conditions across most of the country too.
By late Monday, early Tuesday next week the weather models are indicating the Cold front will move quite a bit into the interior bringing rainfall and also chances of snow to parts of Kwazulu-Natal, the Free State, Mpumalanga and even Gauteng.
These are still early forecasts and are subject to change but thus far the weather models show the system staying on track.
