PROVINCIAL WEATHER OVERVIEW

GAUTENG PROVINCE

Fine and cool. The expected UVB sunburn Index High

MPUMALANGA PROVINCE

Fine and cool to warm, becoming cloudy in the east in the afternoon.

LIMPOPO PROVINCE

Fine and warm to hot becoming partly cloudy in the south-east in the evening.

NORTH-WEST PROVINCE

Fine and cold to cool, but warm in the extreme east.

FREE STATE

Partly cloudy in the southern and western parts in the morning, otherwise fine and cold to cool.

NORTHERN CAPE

Cloudy to partly cloudy and cool to cold but very cold in the southern high ground. It will become fine in the evening. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong easterly to south-easterly.

WESTERN CAPE

Cloudy to partly cloudy and cold with isolated rain and showers over the southern parts but scattered in the extreme south-west, clearing from the west by the late afternoon. Light snowfalls are expected for the mountain peaks in the morning. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong westerly to south-westerly becoming moderate by the evening. WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

Cloudy and cold with isolated showers and rain, becoming partly cloudy from the afternoon. Snowfalls can be expected in places over high peaks south of Willowmore as well as the Sneeuberg until late morning. The wind along the coast will be strong westerly, becoming fresh south-westerly.

EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

Partly cloudy and cold, but cloudy with isolated showers and rain along escarpment. Snowfalls can be expected over the Winterberg area until late morning. The wind along the coast will be strong south-westerly.

KWAZULU-NATAL

Morning fog over the interior, otherwise cloudy but partly cloudy in the west and cool but cold in the south-west. Isolated showers and rain are expected. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly to southerly. The expected UVB sunburn Index Low
