PROVINCIAL WEATHER OVERVIEW

GAUTENG PROVINCE

– Fine and hot, becoming partly cloudy from the evening. The expected UVB sunburn Index Extreme

MPUMALANGA PROVINCE

– Fine and warm to hot, becoming partly cloudy with isolated afternoon thundershowers along the escarpment.

LIMPOPO PROVINCE

– Fine becoming partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers in the central to south-eastern parts.

NORTH-WEST PROVINCE

– Fine and hot, becoming partly cloudy in the west, with isolated showers and thundershowers over the extreme west by evening.

FREE STATE

– Fine and warm to hot.

NORTHERN CAPE

Cool along the coast where it will be partly cloudy with morning fog patches, otherwise fine and warm to hot. It will become partly cloudy in the north and north-east with isolated late afternoon showers and thundershowers. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate southerly to south- easterly, becoming fresh to strong from the afternoon.

WESTERN CAPE

Fine in the north-east, otherwise cloudy to partly cloudy and cool to warm with light rain and showers in the south-west and the south coast until in the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate northerly to north- westerly in the west in the morning, otherwise westerly to south-westerly. The expected UVB sunburn Index Moderate

WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

– Cloudy in places in the south in the morning, otherwise fine and warm but cool along the coast. It will become cloudy with isolated showers and rain along the coast and adjacent interior by evening. The wind along the coast will be light and variable, becoming light to moderate south-westerly in the afternoon.

EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

– Cloudy in the south-west at first, otherwise fine and warm becoming cloudy south of the escarpment from the evening. The wind along the coast will be light north-westerly, becoming light to moderate easterly to north-easterly from midday.

KWAZULU-NATAL
