A. Yellow level-2 warning for damaging waves leading to temporary disruptions of beachfront activities and difficulty in navigation at sea is expected between Cape Columbine and Plettenberg Bay. FIRE DANGER

WARNINGS

A. Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the extreme eastern parts of the Northern Cape, the southern parts of the Free State, the extreme western parts of the North-West as well as the northern parts of the Eastern Cape Province. ADVISORIES A. Heatwave conditions resulting in persistently high temperatures, exceeding average maximum are expected in places over Gauteng, and the eastern parts of the North West.

NORTHERN CAPE

Fine in places in the west, otherwise partly cloudy, windy and hot to very hot with isolated afternoon thundershowers in the extreme north-east. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south- westerly.

WESTERN CAPE

– Cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and rain in the southern parts but scattered along the south coast. The wind along the coast will be moderate north-westerly becoming southerly to south-westerly by the afternoon reaching strong north of Table Bay in the evening. WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

Cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and rain by evening but scattered along the coast and adjacent interior. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly, reaching strong in places.

EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

Cloudy and cool to warm, but hot in the north, with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the east. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong north-easterly in the early morning, otherwise south-westerly.

KWAZULU-NATAL

– Partly cloudy and warm to hot but very hot in places in the north. Isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers are expected, except in the extreme north-east.
