Yellow Level 2 Warning for Severe Thunderstorms that may result in heavy downpours and large amounts of small hail, leading to flash flooding of roads/bridges, low-lying areas and settlements, also causing difficulty in driving due to reduced visibility, expected in paces over the western and southern interior of the N-Cape, the northern interior of the W-Cape spreading to the Overberg Districts in the south-west from the late afternoon, the southern parts of the Free State, as well as the northern parts of the E-Cape, as well as over the south-western parts of KwaZulu-Natal. WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Partly cloudy and warm to hot, with isolated showers in the north at first, but scattered showers and thundershowers over the central and western parts in the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly but light to moderate north-easterly at times in the morning.
EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
– Partly cloudy and warm to cool with scattered showers and thundershowers but isolated along the coast. Heavy downpours are expected in places over the interior. The wind along the coast will be light and variable in the south at first, otherwise moderate to fresh north-easterly.
KWAZULU-NATAL
– Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, except over the extreme north-eastern part.
