IMPACT-BASED
WARNINGS
A. Orange Level 6 warning for Disruptive rain resulting flooding of roads and settlements, danger to life, large communities not accessible/ cut-off for prolonged period, travel services severely affected on major roads and bridges, as well as disruptions to municipal services. B. Orange level 6 warning for Severe Thunderstorms with possible heavy downpours leading to flooding of susceptible areas, low-lying areas and bridges, formal and informal settlements, resulting in closure of some bridges and roads, disruptions in municipal services, are expected over the north-western interior of the Eastern Cape, as well as over the extreme eastern parts of the Northern Cape, extreme western parts of North West and the Free State. C. Orange Level 6 warning for Damaging Interior Wind leading to some structural damage and interruptions to power, injury and danger to life, damage to formal and informal settlements, communication and other services is expected over the City of Cape Town, Overberg and Cape Winelands. D. Yellow Level 4 warning for Damaging Wind and Waves leading to difficulty in navigation at sea and disruption of small harbours and ports, is expected between Saldanha Bay and Plettenberg Bay. E. Yellow Level 4 warning for Disruptive Rain resulting in flooding of roads and (formal and informal) settlements, danger to life due to fast flowing stream and deep water, damage to property and infrastructure and loss of life stock and livelihoods, as well as major disruptions of traffic flow due to major roads being flooded, is expected over the Central Karoo, West Coast, the Cape Winelands in the Western Cape and southern Namakwa in the Northern Cape on Sunday including the Garden Route, as well as over parts of KwaZulu-Natal except in the north-east. F. Cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the Western Bushveld.
NORTH-WEST PROVINCE
Cloudy, windy and cool with widespread showers and thundershowers.
FREE STATE
Cloudy, windy and cool but cold in the extreme east with widespread showers and thundershowers.
NORTHERN CAPE
Partly cloudy over the north-central parts, otherwise cloudy, windy and cool to warm with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers from the afternoon over the extreme southern parts where it will be cold. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly but moderate to fresh south-westerly during the afternoon. It will become light and variable from the evening.
WESTERN CAPE
Cool in places along the West Coast, otherwise cloudy, windy and cold with scattered to widespread showers and thundershowers, but isolated over the extreme north-western parts. The wind along the coast will be strong to near gale force easterly to south- easterly, but fresh to strong southerly north of Cape Columbine where it will become northerly to north-westerly from late afternoon. Cloudy and cold with scattered showers and thundershowers, but widespread in the north. The wind along the coast will be strong easterly
EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Cloudy and cold with scattered showers and thundershowers, but widespread in the north-west. The wind along the coast will be strong easterly.
KWAZULU-NATAL
Cloudy and cold to cool with widespread showers and rain but scattered in the north-east. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh easterly to south-easterly, becoming north-easterly from the south in the afternoon.

A.
