A Yellow level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms with heavy downpours leading to localized flooding of informal/formal settlements as well as low lying roads and bridges, hail and strong winds which may result in structural damages, and excessive lightning which may result in electrical surges is expected over the midlands and north-eastern parts of KwaZulu-Natal and the eastern interior of the Eastern Cape.
