A Yellow level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms with heavy downpours leading to localized flooding of informal/formal settlements as well as low lying roads and bridges, hail and strong winds which may result in structural damages, and excessive lightning which may result in electrical surges is expected over the midlands and north-eastern parts of KwaZulu-Natal and the eastern interior of the Eastern Cape. Fine and warm to hot but very hot in the north. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly.

WESTERN CAPE

Cloudy in the morning along the south coast, northern parts of the west coast as well as over the eastern parts, otherwise fine and warm to hot but cool along the coastal areas becoming cloudy along the south coast by evening.
